Introducing the history of mizuiro ind Kobe store.
This store is located on Toa Road, the center of Kobe's shopping street.
The building chosen for the mizuiro ind store, which can be said to be a flagship store is very old and valuable.

This building used to be a company called "Kawanami Kogeisha".
Kawanami Kogeisha was founded in 1880.
They handled western furniture and imported goods and had a long history in Kobe.
This building was built in 1937. It has been standing here since before the war and has lived with the city for a long time. It is a valuable part of the city's history.

It is a three-story reinforced concrete building, decorated in the Art Deco style that was popular at the time.
It also has brown brick that retains the appearance of the time and three round windows in regular rows.
This building has continued to make history and watch over the changes of the city.
The basic concept of a store interior is to use parts of the building itself as much as possible and carefully restore the necessary areas.
After thinking about how to infuse the identity of mizuiro ind into this building, we decided to work with the plasterer - Mr. Yuki Kusumi.

Mr. Kusumi is a craftsman who also designs the walls.
He is also a rare plasterer who can restore on traditional buildings in Japan and abroad and buildings of high historical value such as important cultural properties.

His work can be seen on the ceiling of the store.
He doesn't usually work on ceilings, but he accepted our request because he has known and liked this building for a long time. If you plaster the ceiling all at once, it will fall off due to gravity, so the timing is quite difficult, but he completed it using his own skills and ideas.
When you visit this store, we hope you will see this artistic part in harmony with the building.

The building has a 1st and 2nd floor.
The first floor has a glass window and an antique door at the entrance, and when you enter the store, you are greeted with a clean and white view. Stairs, walls, and distinctive building details were designed to maximize the use of original parts.

The second floor is divided into two spaces.
The first is a space for mizuiro ind's dress line. You can choose a dress in a calm and chic atmosphere.
The other space has a different atmosphere from the first floor with a warm wood base, exposed concrete, and a blue accent wall.
At this store, you can see the full lineup and enjoy shopping while feeling the identity of mizuiro ind.
